The small patch of remaining grass is slowly being subsumed by a construction site and mud pit. In the back, an apple tree is flowering for the first time, a Kousa Dogwood tree survives being climbed by a five-year-old, elderberries provide additional shade, summer red raspberries take over a corner, and American Plum trees sparkle in the late afternoon sun.
