Hope Is a Garden
When I planted two cutleaf coneflower plants from a friend last summer they only got a couple feet tall before flowering. Now, nearly my height, the cutleaf cluster towers over the echinacea and eastern coneflower. This is a reminder to place plants carefully so they don’t surprise you with their well-documented growth habits that you were unmotivated to research. I have a terrible track record here and sometimes adopt plants that I can’t even remember the name of.
